As other reviewers of them have observed, the zipper on these bags run all the way from one side of the base across the top to the other side of the base. That design difference from other duffel bags enables these duffel bags to open entirely, and that in turn allows things to easily fit into these that would otherwise be difficult to fit.
Why do I own three? The typical one that anyone would have for the gym, another for my car, and one for the gigs.
I keep a large rolling bag in my trunk, and in that bag I keep multiple bags, such as my range backpack (shooting glasses and ears, ammo, etc.). Another one of those is this gym bag with many jackets and coats.
I play gigs, and there is a medium plastic box of the gig accessories that goes to every gig we play. Carrying a box without handles has now been improved by this bag. The wide-open fit that I discussed above allows that box to pack very easily.
